The state of New Hampshire is now accepting applications for a program to pay bonus stipends to previously unemployed workers who had been receiving unemployment benefits but returned to the workforce after May 18 and stayed employed for at least eight weeks.
Gov. Chris Sununu (R) previously announced the New Summer Stipend Program - Return to Work Bonus to incentivize unemployed workers to return to the workforce. Starting May 18, anyone filing for unemployment benefits in New Hampshire who returned to work and stayed employed for at least eight weeks is eligible to apply for a bonus stipend payment.
Full-time employees will be eligible for payments of $1,000, and part-time workers will be eligible for payments of $500.

“Applications are open for the first people who returned to work through our Summer Stipend Program," Sununu wrote in a July 20 Twitter post. "We're moving full steam ahead to ensure businesses have the workforce needed for a booming summer! Visit http://wfc.nhes.nh.gov to see if you're eligible.”
Ten million dollars in funding has been set aside for the program, and payments will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The program is limited to workers earning $25 per hour or less.
