Parallel Wireless, whose corporate headquarters are located in Nashua, is expanding its research-and-development centers across the globe.

Along with expanding its capabilities in the U.S., it will also expand its operations in the U.K., Israel and India.

"With state-of-the-art Open RAN (Radio Access Network) research and development centers across the globe, we are disrupting the future of mobile wireless networks by enabling Mobile Network Operator (MNO) customers to offer cost-effective, easily scalable, All G broadband connectivity," Keith Johnson, president of Parallel Wireless, told Cision PR Newswire. "Join Parallel Wireless and drive the future of mobile communications."

Parallel Wireless is an Open RAN company, which supplies the globe’s leading G (as in 5G, 4G, etc.). In the past 24 months, Parallel’s global team has doubled in size in some of the main departments, like engineering, IT, quality assurance, and program and project management. Parallel started in 2012 and currently has the most Open RAN deployments in the world.

Previously, RAN vendors developed both the RAN hardware and software, according to Cision PR Newswire. The Open RAN movement, supported by this development center, allows new people to enter the field. The goal is to increase the speed of development while decreasing costs and increasing innovation.
