New Hampshire Department of Correction issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that
minimum-security resident Michael Wells of the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester has been
placed on “escape” status as of 01:40 am on August 10, 2021 after he failed to return to the Calumet House
after his scheduled work shift.
Mr. Wells was last seen Monday, August 9, 2021 at 8:57am at the Calumet House. Wells signed out of the
house at 8:57am for his scheduled work shift Monday morning and was traveling by foot. Mr. Wells was
scheduled to return to the Calumet House also by foot at 10:30 pm Monday evening after his scheduled
work shift.
Mr. Wells is described as a 55-year-old white male, 5'5”, and 150 lbs. He has hazel eyes and blond or
strawberry blond hair with a mustache and goatee. Mr. Wells has tattoos on both forearms and was last seen
wearing dark colored jean pants, a navy blue t-shirt, a green snap back hat, and white sneakers.
Mr. Wells is incarcerated for Robbery with a minimum parole eligibility date of June 7, 2022.
