New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services issued the following announcement on Sep. 3.
The State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), submitted to Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services today an amendment to its 1115(a) Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Access Research Demonstration Waiver to expand the scope of the demonstration to increase access to short-term inpatient and residential treatment services for beneficiaries with a mental health diagnosis (Serious Mental Illness or “SMI”).
