University of New Hampshire (UNH) junior setter Wren Macaulay was named America East Setter of the Week for the second time, the conference announced last week, according to the official website of the UNH Wildcats.

Macaulay of Lake Orion, Michigan, was first named the conference’s setter of the week on Sept. 7 after recording 112 assists during the Holly Young Invitational at Lundholm Gymnasium.

Michigan Elite, a volleyball training academy, Tweeted, "Congrats to 2019 MiElite Alumni Wren Macaulay on earning AEVB Setter of the Week!" on Sept. 7.

UNH went 2-1 that weekend, and Macaulay made the all-tournament team.  She followed that performance with an even more impressive week, posting 87 assists in back-to-back wins against Holy Cross. Macaulay, who is 5-foot-9, had 43 assists on Sept. 8 and set a season-high record with 44 on Sept. 10.   She also had 32 assists against Dartmouth and 24 against the University of Connecticut, both defeats. She leads her team with 360 assists for the year.

“We are extremely proud of Wren and her growth this season,” UNH head coach Christopher Feliciano said, according to the UNH Wildcats website. “She’s done a really nice job in being a complete player.”

Macaulay was a high school Under Armour All-America Honorable Mention at Lake Orion High, where she was Second Team All-State.
