New Hampshire recently began Operation Booster Blitz, an effort to help adults receive their third COVID-19 vaccine shot, commonly referred to as "the booster."

Reporter/columnist and State House Bureau Chief Kevin Landrigan posted on Twitter about additional sites opening soon for those interested in receiving the vaccine.

“Gov. Chris Sununu (R) announces Operation Booster Blitz, which on Dec. 11 will open up 20 sites across the state to offer COVID-19 booster shots. HHS (Health and Human Services) soon to set up a link for anyone to sign up for an appointment,” Landrigan tweeted on Nov. 23.

The state of New Hampshire opened registration for "Operation Booster Blitz" at the start of the month for 15 community-based sites, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, throughout the state, according to Sununu's website.

"As New England states and New Hampshire continue to experience a surge in COVID-19 cases, and with uncertainties about the new omicron variant, it is more important than ever that folks get their booster shots to help protect themselves, their families and their communities," Sununu said, according to his website. "Through opportunities like these Booster Blitz locations, New Hampshire continues to work to open up access to vaccines as much as possible, in addition to pharmacy sites and doctor's offices."

Those interested in registering can do so at vaccines.nh.gov and set appointments for up to five people at one time through one account. The state is designating 10,000 appointments to be available across the 15 sites.
