On February 5, 2025, Rep. Pappas invited constituents to submit questions for an upcoming telephone town hall by providing a link to do so. He encouraged participation by stating: "Submit your question for my telephone town hall: https://t.co/2UOemnl4VZ".

The following day, on February 6, 2025, Rep. Pappas announced details of the town hall event scheduled for that evening. Later on February 6th, Rep. Pappas expressed concerns about Elon Musk's access to sensitive government systems and data involving small businesses and payment information. He communicated the need for transparency and accountability regarding these matters in his tweet: "Throughout this week, I've heard loud and clear from thousands of Granite Staters deeply concerned about Elon Musk's access to sensitive government systems and data about small businesses, payment information, and more. We need answers and we need accountability: (1/2)".
